Not Another Math Lesson
I always thought discipline was a bad thing—or at least had negative connotations. Visions of detention and getting my phone confiscated. It made me feel like I was in trouble, which is how I felt whenever Grandpa C called me to the living room for math lessons.
2. In case you missed it, I started doing some local music writing. My latest for Columbus Underground explores the friendship shared by rappers Dom Deshawn, Joey Aich & OG Vern and how they support each other’s careers.
I’ve wanted to write this story since I first saw Deshawn perform in 2022 and saw how Aich and Vern played a variety of roles during the show. During our conversations, I learned it’s about more than music for them.
